Livestock Groups Send Letter to Illinois 4-H
We've heard member concerns regarding information that Illinois 4-H is evaluating programs during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Illinois Beef Association, Illinois Milk Producers Association, and Illinois Pork Producers Association sent a letter to Illinois 4-H leaders this week asking for a delay in any decision regarding cancellation of 4-H fairs and programs to ensure minimal impact on 4-H livestock families.

Coronavirus and cattle sales
After communication with state leaders, IBA believes that livestock sales are exempt from Executive Order No. 2020 - 07 which prohibits gatherings of 50 people or more. Livestock sales fall are classified under Section 2 as "providers of essential goods" and may continue as scheduled.
